These changes will dramatically increase the level of detail possible while analyzing your audio data. The new “EQ Limits” feature makes it easy to understand how high or low you can go with boosting or cutting particular frequencies in your music before it starts sounding too gross. The “Pitch and Tempo Limits” feature changes the way we think about high or low frequencies in music. With this feature, you can tell the software to only measure above a certain threshold. This means that instead of having to filter out all the bass notes in your music, you will be able to get the precise details of the bass line. No matter what part of your mix is too noisy, or too far away from the center of your audio spectrum, it is now possible to hear what you are after with this feature. Rational Acoustics has added a new set of tools called “Spectral Control” which lets you manipulate high frequency time-domain events in your audio with greater precision. The new “Spectral Vamp” feature allows you to select any spectral region of interest and lower or raise its amplitude. You can do this while watching the changes in the context of the whole spectrum. If you had some out-of-tune notes during a performance, you can select just that frequency range and correct them with Spectral Vamp. Rational Acoustics has added an entirely new set of features relating to timing, beat events, and rhythm analysis called “Timing Arbitration” which will allow you to get an unprecedented level of control over rhythm-related issues in your music. This feature also makes it easy to reverse or time-shift events for effect. If you are an audio engineer or producer, this new feature will allow you to apply equalization filters to any part of your audio source. There are three options for the equalizers: Low Pass, High Pass, and “EQ As Workflow”. Rational Acoustics also has added two new sets of features relating to spectral processing which are called “Spectral Circularity” which allows you to analyze your audio for its spectral properties using circularly-spaced frequency bins.
