This post is about Hindi dubbed audio of the Joker from the film, "The Dark Knight". The Joker is a villain who first appeared in Batman (also known as "The Dark Knight") and has gone on to become one of Batman's greatest enemies. As a criminal, he has threatened Gotham City more than any other force. If you haven't seen the movie or read the comics I highly recommend you do so as soon as possible. He is portrayed by Heath Ledger in the movie, "The Dark Knight", which is widely believed to be his greatest portrayal of the Joker. Here's a link to his Heath Ledger page. There are two different DVDs of the film, one for India and another for other Countries. This post contains information about the Hindi dubbed audio on this DVD disk for India only. It was released on September 3rd 2008 by Walt Disney Company India Pvt Ltd with an approximate running time of 162 minutes (2 hours and 2 minutes). The video format is in NTSC format, with its screen ratio at 1. 78:1 and 16:9 aspect ratio in the movie. The video codec is DivX and it is a double layered disk (DVD5). The Audio format is English AC3 2.0 which encodes into Dolby Digital 5.1 when played with an appropriate decoder (such as Radio). I have recorded the Audio in Dolby Digital 5.1 on my home theatre system, using my Onkyo TX-SR810 A/V receiver connected to Yamaha RX-V596 7. 1 channel surround receiver via a HDMI cable. The audio streams in Hindi and English AC3 2.0, subtitles are in Hindi and English. The audio quality is very good with no issues during playback. It comes with an 8-page booklet which contains details about the movie, the making of the music, the cast and crew information including a biography of Heath Ledger whom played Joker in this film. It also contains a few quotes from the movie. NOTE: I have tried to cover all available information about this DVD in this post to help anyone interested in buying it from India later .
